Iran secretly asking for ceasefire as Israel continues heavy attacks
Big news coming from the Middle East — Iran is now quietly asking for a ceasefire to stop the fighting with Israel.
Reports say Iran has reached out to countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, asking them to help talk to the United States and tell Israel to stop the attacks. Iran is also saying it might pause its own attacks and come back to the negotiation table — but only if Israel stops first.
This comes just after Israel's Defense Minister warned that Iran’s state TV and radio “were about to disappear.” Not long after, Iranian state TV was attacked live while broadcasting. It shocked many viewers, and now the fear of war is spreading.
Iran is now looking for a way to reduce tension. Officials say they don’t want full-blown war, and they hope peace talks can begin again soon.
Meanwhile, leaders at the G7 meeting in Europe are also trying to calm the situation. They want both sides to stop fighting and return to peaceful talks.
On the other side, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says their army is winning and will continue the operation.
Right now, the world is watching closely to see if both sides will agree to stop and talk — or if the fighting will get even worse.
